Required Medicare Part D Disclosure Notice to Employees

It is that time of year again as the annual CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) required Medicare Part D Credible Coverage Notice must be given to employees no later than OCTOBER 14th.

There are two notices that must be sent out each year regarding Medicare Part D.

  • The first notice states that your coverage is creditable or non-creditable. (Please see attached Medicare Part D Creditable Coverage Disclosure Notices 03 01 16 document if you are unsure whether your plan is creditable or non-creditable, or feel free to call us.)
  • This form is required within 60 days of your plan year beginning and you will need to report directly to CMS on their website.
  • The second notice is Medicare Part D Credible Coverage Notice to employees.

It is our recommendation that you send the notice to Medicare eligible employees and dependents as well as a general notice to all employees simply informing them of their rights.
