Report: Over a Third of Workers Have Considered Leaving Jobs Due to Lack of Family Benefits

A recent survey from Maven found that 87% of surveyed employers believe family benefits are highly valued by employees. The survey consisted of 1,100 employees and 600 HR professionals. According to the findings, nearly two-thirds of employers plan to expand family benefits offerings within the next three years.

Notably, more than a third of surveyed employees have left or contemplated leaving a job with poor family benefits offerings. An additional two-thirds of employees have missed out on work due to family health concerns.

The survey found that the most significant family planning priorities included paid parental leave, caregiver support, preconception support, fertility support and reproductive health support. In fact, 41% of employees thought their employers could provide better reproductive health benefits, with 1 in 10 employees reporting that they’ve contemplated switching jobs for an employer with better reproductive health benefits.
